Hi Students & Families,
I hope you are all doing well. This week marks the start of the second corner which means students get a fresh start! Next week will be a bit unusual as we have no school for Veteran's Day on Monday and Report Card Pickup on Wednesday. I look forward to meeting with each of you on Wednesday. Please also see the flyer below for information about a school fundraiser at the Rink benefiting the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. in the spring! 4th Grade: In math, students are learning to generate and interpret patterns. They will also be able to represent numerical patterns with an expression that contains a variable. In reading, students are continuing to work on identifying the main idea and supporting details in fiction texts. KJ is adding the letter G to his repertoire. 5th Grade: Students are diving into fractions. We are starting by creating equivalent fractions and finding the greatest common factor (GCF). Next week we will working on adding fractions. In reading we will be In writing students will be 6th Grade: Students will begin reading The Crossover by Kwame Alexander this week. It will guide our discussion and writing about reading for the quarter. SK is going to continue working to add and now subtract fractions. 7th Grade: MD is working on answering comprehension questions about a variety of texts.
