Join Ray parents and staff to view and discuss the first episode of the critically-acclaimed documentary series, America to Me. The series explores issues of race and inequity at Oak Park River Forest High School. From 6:00-8:00 on Thursday, April 4, we will gather to eat, watch, talk about the episode and how it relates to our own experiences. 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend with a parent. Childcare will be provided for younger children. Reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

Hi Students & Families,
This week 5th grade students are testing and next week 4th grade students are testing. Students are still being seen for math as per usual, but not for English-Language arts. They are being provided with assignments to complete in their homerooms. Please make sure your children get enough rest and eat a solid breakfast to provide them with the energy necessary for the assessment. Thank you all!

Hi Students & Families,
This week you can expect your child's progress report to come home on Friday. As always please reach out with any concerns. Homework effort is looking much better I encourage you to please review your child's work as accuracy is the goal rather than completion. There were inquiries about a change in the reading log format, let's give it a try for quarter four. 4th Grade: This week we will be continuing thinking about the Civil Rights Movement and the impact it has had on us today by creating an art project. Students will paint a self-portrait and answer the question: Thinking about the sacrifices made during the Civil Rights Movement, how will you be a peaceful changemaker? In math, students are diving deeper into equivalent fractions. They just learned how to make equivalent fractions using multiplication today! 5th Grade: SW and TM will participate in the same project as fourth grade students, but will need to elaborate on how they will be peaceful changemakers. In math, we are working on comparing, ordering, and rounding decimals. There are several homework sheets this week; however, comparing decimals should not take students too long to complete. 6th grade: SK is working on using proper verb tense in his journal. In math, we are focusing on multiplication and division facts for the 3's.
