Hi Families,
I hope this message finds you all well. We are now in our fourth week of school. Some parents have already reached out about setting up times to meet in person to discuss your child's progress. I will be giving all families a call this week to check in. When you receive a call from a number with a 916 area code, it's just me. There are a couple of school wide updates...

Hello Families,
This week students will begin coming to room 106 regularly per their IEP minutes. We will begin by setting classroom expectations and practicing routines in addition to getting to know each other a bit. We will also start using classroom technology towards the end of the week. If you haven't already done so please connect to Dojo and Seesaw. Last week third grade students wrapped up beginning of the year NWEA MAP testing. Second graders will be testing on Wednesday and Thursday. Please make sure your children are well rested and eat a good breakfast.

Welcome back to school Ray Warriors! It has been so nice to get back in the classroom. This week Ms. Kruzel & I have introduced ourselves to students and performed classroom assessments to see where students currently stand academically. Some students (depending on grade level) are NWEA these first two weeks as well. We will be assisting all students with testing accommodations. If you would like to know any of the results, please message me on Dojo or send an email to [email protected].
Lastly, we sent a packet home with a letter introducing ourselves, a consent letter, and handouts for connecting to Dojo and Seesaw. The consent letter is for Ms. Kruzel's university classes requesting permission to video or photograph her in action. Dojo will be a way that I can communicate regular classroom information with you. Seesaw is what we will be using to keep track of our assignments and you will be able to see your child's portfolio of work in my class. We are happy to help if you need assistance.
