Hi Students & Parents,
I hope you enjoyed a wonderful break with your family and friends. I had a great time with my family. We stayed in Chicago so I didn't get to see my family in California, but I did get to see my in-laws which was nice. We took our daughters to as many museums as we could while we were out of school. I'll share some pictures below. I also spent a lot of time thinking about how to make our classes better. Let's get back to work with our learning plans and established routines. We've got some fun things to get started on. ELA students will begin working on their biography projects by interviewing a family member. A link to the questions can be found here as well as on the STUDENTS page. Please have this completed by Tuesday of Week 18 so that we can move on to the next phase of the project.

Dear Students & Parents,
We made it! I know all of the students are rejoicing at the start of this very special week. Homework will go home on Tuesday, sorry for my tardiness last week. Break packets will go home on Friday, if you plan to be absent please let me know. After the break all ELA students will begin working on a biography project on someone outside of their immediate family. You can expect more detailed information when we return. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families!

Hi Students & Parents,
Only 9 more days until the break! I know the kids are excited and I am too. I'm really looking forward to some time to recharge with my family. We will need the rest too as NWEA testing will begin shortly after we return. Learning plans will resume after the break as well. I have spent some time reevaluating their usage and how to best implement them in the classroom. I'll work on this more over the break This week, Ray will host STEM Night on 12/12 at 5:00-6:30. It should be a lot of fun with plenty for families to do. It's also Spirit Week. Check the home page for more details. Finally, I didn't get a chance to print out everyone's homework yet so please look for that on Tuesday.

Hi Students & Parents,
Have you had a chance to check out all sections of our blog. I'll update the weekly homework under the "STUDENTS" tab every Monday morning. This week we're focused on persuasive writing in ELA leading up to a persuasive letter written to parents. In math, fourth and fifth grade are working with fractions and DMA is working on order of operations. I hope you all have a wonderful week.
